We created Resist after struggling to find a bar that didn’t mess with our hormones or give us a huge sugar spike. Most bars are either low in carbs and sugar but full of artificial, hormone-disrupting ingredients or they are more natural, but filled with fruit sugars that spike blood sugar like crazy.

Hormone and metabolic health are incredibly important for all bodies, but especially for people like me who struggle with their hormones. I have PCOS or Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome which affects about 15% of women and 75% of women who have PCOS also have Insulin Resistance which affects 1/3 of Americans. The former is the most common endocrine disorder and the latter is a condition where the body responds abnormally to the hormone insulin.

Also, many people eat bars at their desks or on the go -- not in conjunction with a workout. That said, they don't need the carbs to fuel their exercise, and rather their blood sugar spikes leading to many negative effects on hormone and metabolic health. That's where we come in!

what makes our protein bars different?
